-read each section slowly

-take notes on each individual section of text and then read the section over again

-do not just copy everything from the chapter, just take down the important and vital information like names, dates, events, and anything else that may seem important

-when finished, read through notes carefully

-be sure to look over notes within the next 24 hours and keep doing so until test time

-study the vocab and important dates*

-it might help to compare reading notes with lecture notes when studying

-READ EVERYTHING IN THE CHAPTERS, NOT JUST THE PLAIN TEXT (LOOK AT MAPS AND ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS)
