Can anyone give ay tips on writing a diction analysis essay. It would be very helpful. thanks!! :D

I know what diction is, but I do not know what you mean by diction analysis.

You have to look into the connotative meanings of the words the author uses, kind of

This might be late and not help you, but think of how the passage would sound if you replaced one word with another. Also think of what a word suggests. Such as tattered- it suggests hard times, poverty.... stuff like that. Im not sure if this helps you but I hope it will.

thanks for the advice but it turned out that i forgot about it and completed it 10min. before class. so it wasn't as bad as i thought it was
