Hi Ya'll

My name's Krista. I'm a Sophomore and I have APUSH this semster and AP Physics next semester. I'm not planning on taking an AP math course because I dispise numbers of all kind.

I like to draw.
Seriously though, I draw too much and maybe that's why my grades are slipping. I have two webcomics and I update one bi-weekly and the other tri-weekly.

I'm sure you can tell from my SN that I'm a total band geek and that's true. I play the Trombone during marching season and Bassoon for concert although my first instrument was the Clarinet. I have to say, the Bassoon's the best. I can go on about band, but I'll spare you the horror.

Back to why I'm here, I came to get help in APUSH and AP Physics (next semester). And if any of you are any good with Geometry, then please feel free on teaching me about proofs and inequality proofs and the like. I can't seem to grasp the basics of simple numbers.

I find APUSH hard because it deals more with politics and I can't seem to figure out why people find politics so intruiging. I prefer psychology (those of you who are interested in neuropsycholoy, holla), so I can't help but to evaluate their decisions (in politics that is) in a medical way. At best (and since i have no clue what the political terms means) I'm more of a person who believes in letting people choose, but we have to have some form of government. I guess everything has to be taken in moderation; no more, no less. I guess it's because I was raised in a Buddhist family (I'm Laotian. I've got other blood, like Thai and Chinese, but I'm a proud Laotian). So basically, I can't always stay on one side of things. I just like the No Man's Land.

Books:
The American Pageant Twelfth Edition
The American Spirit Tenth Edition Vol I: To 1877

As for Physics, well, I don't have to worry about it until next semester, but I reckon it'll have a lot of math in it and that's not good. So, if any of you would be so kind as to help me through that, I'll be ever so grateful.

Alrighty. That's enough about me. (that's the most I've ever typed about myself) Nice meeting you and I hope we can be friends, or at least help eachother for a common cause.

to be honest, i dont really know. i suppose i "lucked" out and got AP phyics because I've taken Biology honors freshmen year and took algebra I & II already.

as for drawing, i'll draw just about anything. most are in anime and western mixed together becuase that was how i learned to draw, but it my landscape and architecture usually becomes 3D...

and sure. i hope you're prepared for my stupid and repetitive questions.:D

That is very interesting because you got to know pre-cal and Calculus to do AP physics. I guarantee you it will be real hard but if you work a lot you will get it right. I also started drawing with anime first and then my major theme became natural phenomenon. It will be really cool if you post some of your art!

Welcome to the forums Krista! Drawing? Ah! We have something in common! Two things actually... (When I took APUSH, I didn't know it would be so focused on politics either.) x)

So what kinds of things do you draw? (Maybe a little of everything?) I've recently begun drawing manga though I'm not very good. (Stupid backgrounds... ><)

(Didn't edit anything... Well, changed "focuses" to "focused." What? Typos annoy me. o.o)

( APUSH, AP Lang & Comp, APEuro*, AP Physics*, AP Chemistry* )

Yaaay! I like to draw manga, but I try to make it more Westernized.
I could make it look like the japanese art, but I'd prefer not to.

I usually doodle random characters and chibi on my work, but my lanscape are usually 3D, so they just dont mix well....
