Hey I'm new...Yay! I'm not really sure how to describe myself: ummm I'm a girl, a junior in high school in NorCal...oh! I got it: about a dozen people have told me that I remind them of Dorie from the movie "Finding Nemo"...if you don't know about the movie & you're sittin there going "I don't get it" then I'll explain: Dorie is a fish in the movie that has short-term memory loss...I know, go figure that one out.
Wow, look at the time...I'm really good at procrastinating/wasting time/getting distracted, which is exactly what is happening now :rolleyes:

I'm not tall compared to most of my friends though...although i do have a guy friend that's about 5 ft tall. You like horses right? no really? right? I looove horses...do you ride? I have a horse and compete in dressage. Gotta go, just happy to find a fellow horse freak :)
YESSSS!!!!!!!!! I LOVE horses! Mine's named Xena (hence the name), and I try to ride when ever I can, at least during school. During summer I live at the barn (not really, but I sure wish I could), and am doing horseshows whenever I can. I do western and english, love to jump, and try to do a bit of Dressage, but I'm still compeating in Training Level cause I don't get too many opportunities to go to dressage compititions.

Awesome! I'm the same way w/ the whole having trouble finding time to ride during school, but my second home is the barn in the summer. My horse's name is Pilot and we did three-day eventing, but he was diagnosed w/ degenerative joint disease two summers ago (it's cuz he used to be a racehorse), so now we just do dressage. This summer we won the Training level championship at the Northern Cali CDS Junior Championships for my age division...it was sweet. (We also placed fourth in 1st Level for our division) Pilot's an English thouroughbred, what's your horse? Yay! I'm so happy I found another horse crazy person-my friends that don't ride get kinda tired of me talking about it all the time
I know exactly what you mean! And that you have to translate things for them from horse-rider's speech...anyways, Xena is half Tennassee Walker and half Quarter Horse. She isn't gated, but when she feels like it she can be incredibly smooth. Everyone says that she's got the mind of a thouroughbred since she can be incredibly pissy sometimes (no offense to thouroughbreds, though. I love 'em!). One year she decided that everytime she came into heat she would try to buck me off when I asked her to canter! :P But I love her anyway. She turned six this year, and we finally started to seriously compeate in jumping! Hunter, though, since I need a lot more experience in it. no worries on the talking my ear off part, I do the same thing about my horse. I can't wait till show season starts again...I gotta qualify for the Junior Champs again. I love to jump, but since Pilot can't jump anymore, I jump other people's horses/young horses in training/crazy ones that no one else wants to...keeps me on my toes. :) How high are you guys jumping?
We're only doing Long Stirupp classes, so about 2'3 to 2'6. I'm working my way up, and maybe late next year I'll start on some working hunter classes. Right now I can't really practice since the ground's frozen (one of the bad things of living in a frozen wasteland), but I still try to ride during the winter. You? Do you do or have done any western ridiing? My instructor's a reining champ, so I get instruction in both arenas.....
