APUSH DBQ due tomorrow i just need ideas

In the early 19th century Americans sought to resolve their political disputes through compromise yet by 1860 this no longer seemed possible analyze reason for this change

im not trying to break rules or anything but as u can tell by my name im not the sharpest tool in the shed.... i desperately need ideas to pass this thing so i can pass the class please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You might try talking about the slavery issue - that' one thing that really split the North and South during that time period. Also, the political parties at the time split on many issues, especially over sectional and territorial conflicts. Use outside information such as the Missouri Compromise of 1820, the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, etc.
Talk about free-soilers and bleeding Kansas. The Compromise of 1850 is also important, as well as it how it eventually unraveled, and the Fugitive Slave Law. There's also the election of 1860 and what happened after Lincoln got elected.

we did this DBQ a little while ago, theres a few different ways to go around it
i talked about each of the three political parties adn the ways they influenced the nation's mindset
i saw the grading rubric, too, you need to give examples of failed compromises
you might want to do three chronological body paragraphs, with references to documents in each.
