Need help w/ some review questions about american rev.

1) How was the French and Indian war a factor that led the colonists to revolution?

2) What was John Locke's belief about the function of government? Name one person who agreed with him. Name one person who probably disagreed with him. (Title is fine, do not need to know name.)

3) Draw a pie graph and label how many colonists were patriots, how many were loyalists, and how many were neutral.

4) Give an educated opinion for the following: Why did the Americans win the Revolutionary War?

5) What was the significance of the battles of Trenton and Princeton?

6) What areas of the United States as defined by the Treaty of Paris.

Thanks for your help!

well...I don't have alot of time on my hand right now but I'll help out for some problems..
for the first question, the French and Indian War mark the end of the salutary neglect, which England decided to have a tighter control over the American colonies like taxing them. The Americans enjoyed decades of having the power to tax themselves, pass laws, and other freedoms. After the war, Britain pass laws that restricts the clonists' freedoms.

Such as General Howe changing plans(Saratoga) also because amercans were familiar with the land and had george washington on their side (very goood at maintaining morale and know's when to run) british also have to travel across the atlantic ocean and are tired when they get here....hope that helps

5. Winter of 76-77 george washington crossed the Delaware River to launch a surprise attack on the Hesians. He won. A little later went to Princeton and was victorious again. This was a major morale boost for the Americans.

The F&I war made britain the leading power in america, which caused them to take over the colonies and made the colonists angry with them. it created a lot of hostilitiy between the colonists and the british

they knew the land better, and had more experiance (because of battles with indians and the French and Indian war) with fighting there.

5) What was the significance of the battles of Trenton and Princeton?

6) What areas of the United States as defined by the Treaty of Paris.

Wasn't Locke the one who said that whoever has the power to change a corrupt government has the duty to do so?

Princeton Battle:
The victory at Princeton cost the British some 500 men killed, wounded or captured and and greatly boosted the morale of the Continental troops, leading 8,000 new recruits to join the Continental Army. General Hugh Mercer of the Continental Army suffered multiple bayonet wounds and died nine days after the battle.
