Built on conquest and military force. consolidated in the Niger Valley by Sunni Ali (1464-1493), it established a central administration, made Timbuktu a major Muslim cultural center and fell to the Moroccans with muskets.
369949315	Kongo	West African kingdom, financed by trade with Portuguese in the 1480s. Europeans established connections with its king, which were beneficiary for everyone. The kings converted to Catholic.
