US History [1]
Introduction During the American Revolution, slavery was well established among America. Slavery was supported through many years due to the mass production it had come from. After the American Revolution, it continued to be permitted for years even though slavery conflicted with the Americans view of Christianity and regulations from the Declaration of Independence. Several Quakers held antislavery movements that stirred sparks of conflict in the 1780?s, resulting in states to place restrictions of slavery, but no national government action took place. In conclusion to the American Revolution, slavery was abolished in 1804, north of the Mason-Dixon Line, some saw this as the movement to abolish slavery overall.
