She was born on Earth and moved to Venus, where it rained constantly, when she was 4 years old. She remembered how the sun looked like and yearns to see it again, while her classmates did not. They all resent her for that fact, and lock her up. After playing in the sun for the first time, they remember that Margot was still in the closet that they locked her up in, and are all flooded in horror and extreme guilt. Ray Bradbury illustrates the theme of jealousy, mom mentality, and bullying through characterization, the tone, and the actions of Margot?s classmates.
