Biology [1]
As with any science, Biology has developed because of scientists sharing their observations and being aware of their surroundings. Anyone can be a scientist as long as they ask questions and think about the changes that take place in their environment and how it might affect you! DO NOW: What process do biologists use in solving a problem or answering a question? 6 Stages to the Scientific Method OBSERVATIONS: Make a note of events using one or more of your 5 senses. ASKING QUESTIONS: your observations raise these. FORMULATE A HYPOTHESIS: a proposed explanation that can be tested. MAKE PREDICTION: this is what you expect to happen if your hypothesis is correct. 6 Stages of the Scientific Method 4. EXPERIMENTING: testing the hypothesis with a planned procedure.
