Experiment is way to do research that allows you to draw cause and effect conclusion. Case Study focuses on an individual rather than a group or variety. Naturalistic observation is when you observe someone?s behavior in different environments to do research. One advantage an experiment would be that it allows you to manipulate the independent variable so you can compare it with the dependent variable. One disadvantage would be experiments are usually quite expensive. One advantage of case studies is it allows us to go in depth bout research of one person or an individual. One disadvantage is it doesn?t allow us to expand research to others and make generalizations. One advantage of naturalistic observation is we can actually observe the research in a reality situation.
