Eytan Camras Mullen English 9 HP 17 September 2014 Of Mice and Men One of the themes illustrated throughout this book is that sometimes sacrifices have to be made. In Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, the characters constantly make sacrifices. For example, George sacrificed the better life he could have had without Lennie, in order to be with Lennie and have Lennie?s companionship. The sacrifices made in this book give it its meaning of how sacrifices need to be made in order for life to go on. It changes how the story ends up and without them, this meaning of this book would be entirely different.
