Cercopithecidae Genus ? Macaca Species - Macaca Fuscata Description and Appearance The Japanese Macaque has a stocky body with a naked, red face that is said to resemble that of a Human. Their thick, furry coat is usually grey or brown in colour. They have opposable thumbs, allowing it to grasp and hold objects and are able to walk on just their hind legs. The tails are shorter then other monkeys. Males have larger tails. Weight: 11lbs ? 31lbs Height: Around 3 ft. Where they Live HABITAT They live in the cold hills and mountains of Japan but adapt very good to subtropical seasons.
