5648263693palpebral fissure (slit)2
5648268301Lacrimal caruncle located at medial commissure contains oil and sweat glands3
5648270479Tarsal plates: supporting connective tissue for folds, as well as anchor orbicularis oculi and levator palpebrae superioris muscles4
5648285688Tarsal (Meibomian) glands -Modified sebaceous glands produce oily secretion that lubricates lid and eye5
5648288488Ciliary glands between hair follicles are -Modified sweat glands6
5648446889Emmetropic eye - normal, focal point on retina 2. Myopic eye - eyeball too long. Causes myopia (nearsightedness), distant object focused in front of retina & appear blurry but can see close objects fine. Concave corrective lens to diverge light outwards before entering eye 3. Hyperopic eye - eyeball too short. Causes hyperopia (farsightedness), distant objects focused behind retina. Can see distant objects fine because ciliary muscles contract almost constantly to so lens bends more to allow focal point to move forward on retina but this doesn't work with close objects (focused way too far behind the retina). Convex corrective lens to converge light more before entering eye 4. Astigmatism - unequal curvatures of different parts of cornea or lens, also results in blurry image7
