Comparison- Perspective- urban/rural, religious, and racial identity is addressed. Contextualization- This addresses the Progressive Era and urbanization. Explain the Activity The goal of this activity is to help students analyze the way in which ideas and attitudes change over time. Furthermore, students ought to investigate the role of perspective when it comes to the attitudes of persons involved in these issues. The students will therefore conduct a mock hearing over the proposed building of the Hetch-Hetchy Dam in Northern California.
