Lab Eleven: Animal Behavior Introduction a.) Ethology is the study of animal behavior. This includes observing the animal behavior's of an organism, interpreting if they are innate or learned, and you find information on these organisms. An animal?s behavior is its response to sensory input. There are three types of behaviors: orientation, agonistic, and mating. Agonistis behavior is shown when animals respond to each other by aggressive or submissive responses, it makes them look threatening. Mating behaviors are activities that involve finding, courting, and mating with a member of the same species.
