Pyramids
Pyramids:

Point V in the figure is the vertex of the pyramid.
The segment perpendicular to the base from the vertex is the altitude and its length is the height h.
Regular Pyramids have:
- The base of regular pyramids are regular polygons.
 - The lateral faces of regular pyramids are congruent isosceles triangles.
a. The height of a lateral face is called the slant height, denoted as l, of the pyramid. - All lateral edges are congruent.
 - The altitude intersects the base at its center.

The lateral area of a pyramid can be found in two ways:
- Find the area of one of the lateral faces and multiply the area with thehave. number of sides the base
 - Use the formula L.A. = ½ pl : p denotes the perimeter of the base.
