Helpful sites - Currently 1 for Geometry

So I'm going to be helping someone out with geometry and algebra, so throughout the semester I may be posting sites and such here.

http://www.mathopenref.com/

  • Math Open Reference - not the fanciest website around, but I found it gave great instructions on how to use a compass and a straight edge to draw angles, and it had java animations that actually showed the motions that go into it (a plus in my book). I haven't explored it fully, but it looks like it's mostly geometry and some calculator help. Hope this is useful!

Yay! I found something else that's useful!

This site is for basic algebra students it's got lessons, worksheets, a few reference sheets, and even calculators! It's not a particularly expansive site, but I do like how it works. My favorite thing about the calculators (at least the ones I've tried) is that they show the basic steps taken in solving the problem so you have a better chance of finding out what you did wrong or how to do the problem if you're confused.
