As of late there’s been quite a lot of hubbub on the news about the health care reforms that the country is very much divided on. I’m not here to spout off about what I think you should think, because I am not a political pundit, this is definitely not a forum for politics, and frankly I think the world would be a much happier place if the political pundits always at each others neck simply vanished, but this is also besides the point.

Oh the woes of being a high school student. There are fewer things pettier and more devastating to a teenager than getting dumped by their best friend. Whether you two just “drifted apart” or you flat out got the shaft, getting dumped is rough. For those of you who have been ditched and now feel as though the world is becoming one big, dark place where things go to die: fear not, melodramatic teens! This is not the end of the world, in fact far from it. The best way to think of this is not as a time of suffering from social leprosy, but as a character building time in your life.

At first glance, buying an instrument really doesn’t seem like an all too involved process. At second glance however, people begin to notice things like how two instruments of different brands can be vastly different from one another, and a realization that instruments can be very costly. So try not to rush into a music store with a mind to buy the best looking instrument you can get your hands on—it’s important to go into the instrument search with an idea of what you will need to learn this new instrument to the best of your ability.
