How many of you listen to music when studying, doing homework, or working on projects? Do your parents get irritated with the fact that you have “distractions” while working? If you answered yes to either of
these questions, you fall into a group of students I like calling active learners. Listening to music while working isn’t a bad thing, in fact, it can help a person’s thought flow become focused instead of erratic.

As I quickly approach my senior year, I feel the flood of college applications, essays, extensions, projects, and summer homework enveloping my supposed summer “break”. But what is it really a break from? My summers tend to be busier than my school years, planned to perfection during the months of April and May. Once I reach my second semester of senior year, I swear, I’m done. No more hard work, no more all-nighters. I will have a case of senioritis – which may or may not be a good thing.

As I go into my senior year, I have the list of colleges I would like to apply to already in my head. However, figuring that out came with a lot of difficulty, and I wish I had some sort of guide to help me along the way. Therefore, I decided to help incoming juniors (and maybe some seniors) out in what to look for when applying to college. Here is my guide, made for you, on how to pick the right college!
