Groucho Marx Letter Questions : Marx is known for being a comedian, starting off with ?Apparently? gives off a humorous vibe and essentially sets the tone for the letter. He intentionally start with a misunderstanding when he knows the true situation. He?s trying to be witty, he knows it does not belong to the Warner Bros. but since they have tried to claim the name and act like they have ownership he makes the statement. He uses sarcasm when he says ?your great grandfather? knowing the Warner Bros. are not related at all to discover of Casablanca, and also when he says ??a shortcut to the city of Burbank,? which is where their studio is, he does this to try and make up A reason as to why the Warner Bros. think they are entitled to the name ?Casablanca.?
