Unit 2 Summary One of the main issues in the world today is dealing with the population growth of the world. This study of population is referred to as demography. Based on the census, the population is a little over seven billion people. One of the most important aspects demographers study is population density and in which demographers mostly study arithmetic and physiologic population density. Arithmetic population density refers to the population of a country or region divided by the unit of square kilometers while physiologic population density is the number of people per unit divided by arable land.
