Any information on comparing and contrasting these elements of the New England, Middle, and Southern colonies would be a life saver! -
-financing
- motivation for founding
- political, social, and economic organization of each area
- the degree of self government and extent of participation
- economic base
- labor opportunities for social and political mobility and education
What accounts for the differences of all of these in the different colonies?
THANK YOU to anyone who helps!
go to tread helpbit: colonial america and look under southern vs. new england post for similarities and differences between the southern colonies and new england. it's on the first page.
Middle Colonies:
the middle colonies were basically inbetween the two. founded for religious freedom. industry based economy- less than new england, more than south. known as the bread colonies for their heavy exports of grain. government is between new england and south governments. more ethnically diverse than both and more social and economic democracy. new england and middle had better education than south.
Thanks plenty!
