Hoover and Roosevelt DBQ

Hi,

I have been assigned to do the DBQ question from the 1984 exam about President Hoover and President Roosevelt. The question is as follows, "President Franklin D. Roosevelt is commonly thought of as a liberal and President Herbert C. Hoover as a conservative. To what extent are these characteristics valid?" I was hoping that someone could either help me find a copy of the full dbq with documents online, or possibly recall the name of one of the documents that is provided, such as a political cartoon so I can more easily search for the DBQ.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Greg Kirby

Okay, I couldn't find the documents for it online, but if you need some help someone got some great advice here:

I'll keep looking for the documents if I can.

Thanks for your help so far.

I have continued my searching and have discovered two potentially helpful sites. On their own they arent particularly useful but when combined it might aid me/us in finding the documents. The first of which is an essay someone wrote in response to the DBQ question. http://awideawake.blogspot.com/2005/02/hooverfdr-dbq.html The other is a DBQ that has a different question but has many documents that would be appropriate for the 1984 question and much of the citing on the blogspot site coincides with the documents on this site. http://shs.westport.k12.ct.us/jwb/AP/DBQdocs/HHfdrDBQ.htm

Possibly someone might recognize that as being either the correct or incorrect DBQ documents. Perhaps they might recognize the political cartoon.

Thanks again,
Greg Kirby

Well, the essay is based on the right dbq, the other one isn't the right dbq. I'm although it's possible that some of the same documents were used...

Hey, i am doing the same DBQ essay for my history class. President Franklin D. Roosevelt is commonly thought of as a liberal and President Herbert C. Hoover as a conservative. To what extent are these characteristics valid?" I was wondering if maybe you could direct me to the websites that you found your essays on or help me out a little? thank you
