Hey, Yeah. I'm new here, and I have a question that I'm not quite sure how to answer, I just need to know how concrete my answer is.
The question was:
Make a note outline for the purpose of understanding:
The significance of these two events:
1. The 1619 Africans brought to America
2. London Company authorized settlers to assemble a colony
The underlined question is the one I need help with. At first I thought that my teacher meant the authorization of the settlers to summon an assembly, the House of Burgesses, which I know the answer to. I thought this because usually the questions go in the order of the chapter. I'm not sure if it was a typo error, but I'll answer the question as it is.
The answer I thought of putting was that since they settlers assembled Jamestown, Virginia, was that it strained relations with the Indians and that it layed down the foundation of other colonies to be planted, but I seriously have no idea how to approach this question or how to answer it. Please help.:confused:
