I need some literary devices and examples of them for an english project. I've already got imagery, since there is such a plethora of that in the novel, but I'm having a lot of trouble with motif. I'm still not sure I know exactly what motif is..
And I also need some examples of symbolism.
Would it be correct to say that The Banner symbolizes what Ayn Rand hates most about society?
Here[URL=http://mrbraiman.home.att.net/lit.htm]http://mrbraiman.home.att.net/lit.... is a good site for literary devices. It gives examples and definitions. Hmm Did you try looking on sparknotes for info. about The Banner? I can't say that I've read the book, so I can't help you out there. Sorry!

I'm a little late, but I loved this book. there was so much to read about on it. There is actually a philosophy by the name of objectivism. She created it and it really helps to know the moral principles that she believes in. If you know that, I'm sure you can crank out some good ideas. Remember, you can always argue your points!
