Amit Manjunath Iodination of Acetone Discussion of Theory This lab demonstrated the concept of rates. Rates can be affected in many ways, but the ones shown in the lab were temperature and concentration of reactants. Finding the rate can only be done experimentally by keeping all but one reactant constant per trial.
