The third US president, and the main author of the Decalration of Independence. He believed in a small federal government and opposed the views of Alexander Hamilton. He was responsible for the Louisiana Purchase.
Note that the diagram has three general areas corresponding to the three states of
matter––solid, liquid, and gas. The line from A to C represents the solid’s change in vapor
pressure with changing temperature, for the sublimation equilibrium. The A-to-D line represents
the variation in the melting point with varying pressure. The A-to-B line represents
the variation of a liquid’s vapor pressure with varying pressure. The B point shown on this
phase diagram is called the critical point of the substance, the point beyond which the gas

Psychology notes
The Scientific Attitude
Scientific approach that is skeptical and open-minded
To shift away from illusions to reality, one must use Smart thinking or critical thinking: thinking that does not blindly accept things, but approaches with skepticism and examines the evidence carefully; Ask how did they know, on guts and instinct? Are the evidence biased?
However, must remember to have humility as too extreme would be stubbornness

Giant Tube Worm
Physical Adaptations
has a large red plume that provides nutrients to the bacteria that live inside the worm
Morphological Adaptations
has a specialized organ used for exchanging compounds such as oxygen, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen sulphide with the seawater
has a mutual relationship with the bacteria that lives inside it. Has no mouth or digestive tract so it feeds off of the bacteria.
bacteria converts the chemicals from the hydrothermal vents into organic molecules that provide food for the worm
Behavioral Adaptations
In examining the two species and their adaptations I believe the beaver is the best adapted for winter. Both the marten and the beaver are well-adapted for winter, however, I believe the adaptations and habitat of the beaver outweigh that of the marten. The key fault in the marten?s case is that it does not have a year-round habitat like the beaver does. The beaver is able to have both safety and relative warmth in its lodge. It is able to safely store food in large amounts there, whereas, the Marten has its winter home in the trees.
