Experiment is way to do research that allows you to draw cause and effect conclusion. Case Study focuses on an individual rather than a group or variety. Naturalistic observation is when you observe someone?s behavior in different environments to do research. One advantage an experiment would be that it allows you to manipulate the independent variable so you can compare it with the dependent variable. One disadvantage would be experiments are usually quite expensive. One advantage of case studies is it allows us to go in depth bout research of one person or an individual.

Tetravalent- 4 electrons in valence shell, Ex. carbon

Hydrocarbon- An organic molecule consisting only of carbon and hydrogen.

Isomer- One of several compounds with the same molecular formula but different structures and therefore different properties. The three types are structural, geometric, and enantiomers.
