Heres the question. President FDR is commonly though of as liberal and Hoover is thought of as a conservative. To what extent are the characterizations valid?

I totally agree with the statement and its not that I really need help with a thesis but I just cant piece together any information to support the fact that FDR is liberal and Hoover conservative. If anyone has any thoughts that could help it would be great. Thanks for your time...
