expansion of America essay test (help will be greatly appriciated)

this is the essay question for my AP US history midterms, so please help, i would really appriciate it, thank you, the question is:

What were examples of American expansion between 1790-1890? What forces/beliefs drove this expansion? Which group(s) benefitted? Which groups were negatively impacted by American expansion?
