I've been questioning wether if the AP World Test is worth taking, in time and money. Not that money is an issue, but assume that I fail (will), it's such a waste as well as time wise. My parents encourage me to take the test (like all), but I know my limits. I reviewed some of the AP questions on here and I just gasp just reading it. They are so complicated and indepth! I know that if i were to have all the information memorized now, I will not be able to write out a good answer, analysis, or DBQ. I currently take AP world class and though the teacher is very intelligent (naming dates and events noone can relate to, at least for me), I just can't recall the information and rely heavily on the book and outlines-- i can't get use to the way he teaches (some even suggest that i take notes on every sentence he says...) For example, my dates are jumble together nor can I get a sense of the 'modern period' that he keep mentionning. Was it 1750? It seem so far away. Without notes in front of me, it is as though i've never taken the course. Does anyone have any way to tackle the DBQs? I tried my best to do the old fashion way of studying-- read. But every sentence seem to be of common sense--- how back in the days, society was backward in everyway under a monarchy of some sort who devalued woman and children. Here and there would be new information like footbinding in china and tributes (I don't even recall the states that was involved!) While the modern is basically industrialization. How did you guys handle those analysis questions when comparing the countries, events, etc. Any way to better be prepare (IF and only IF i decide to take it) What should I do to even comprehend when in this class?? :(:(:(:( I am considering dropping out and take a regular class, after all, better to understand in a lower class.
