So, i have to do this essay in class, but I am allowed to do the outline and notes, and use them during class. The question is,

"Gods: How does Homer concieve the Gods as portrayed in The Iliad and what functions do they serve?"

I know it is'nt really hard at all, but for some reason or (s) I am drawing a blank. Usually I do amazing with essays, especially with English. Does anyone have any ideas for a Thesis or Opening Statement? i was thinking a quote, but everyone uses quotes from the text.....
