Use fig 5.1 to describe how all cell membranes are described as a “fluid mosaic”.
Fluid Mosaic: The phospholipids and proteins together are not a solid wall, but a very flexible structure. The word “mosaic” means that the proteins are interspersed among the phospholipid molecules. The phospholipids are by far the most abundant molecules in the membrane and form the “flexible barrier”.
