Zac Kuykendall Ms. Harris Pre AP English 2 May 30, 2011 Jane Eyre Synthesis In a time where religion dominated the lives of people, Charlotte Bronte challenged the minds of hundreds with her portrayal of the church in her book Jane Eyre. Bronte chooses to exemplify characters from the bible in the characters in her book (Bolt). I believe that by casting characters in her book similar to those characters in the bible, Bronte is attempting to challenge traditional thinking of the time about the bible.
