The political structure was less structured and centralized compared to the Chinese. -Divisions in the civilization made a centralized political unit difficult (greater diversity). 600 B.C.E ? 16 regional states that included monarchies and republics of priests and warriors. -Alexander the Great pushed into the subcontinent and formed Batria in the Hindu Kush.
