We awoke to the attack of the Puritans on the night of May 26th, the year 1637. The men came storming in from both sides of our fort and attacked all of its inhabitants men, women and children the same. Our Pequot tribe was nearly annihilated that night and the Puritans felt no remorse. Then when the Puritans, led by Major John Mason and Captain John Underhill, entered our compound, as we now know, history was changed forever.
