The Industrial Revolution (1780-1850): Overview of the Industrial Revolution: Machines began to replace humans in the manufacturing of goods. Use of the Steam Engine for producing textiles in the 1780s was the turning point. Europe Gradually transitioned from an agricultural and commercial society into a modern industrial society. By the Mid 19th Century, industrialism had spread all across Europe. The economic changes of the industrial revolution did more than any other movement to revolutionize life in Europe and western civilization.
