In class we learned about love and the ability to form loving, caring and intimate relationships with others are important for both our physical and emotional health. In our notes we had love triangles; by Robert Sternberg (1998, 1999), which he has proposed that love, is made up of three elements- passion, intimacy, and commitment- that are combined in different ways. In class the triangular describes liking were friends can separate for long periods of time and resume the relationship as if it had never ended.
