Notes on the Flute Symphonic Band June 11th 2015 Flute playing had started at many parts of the world and many different points in time. The first flute was discovered in Slovenia and was made of animal bones. However, many historians do not believe this to be the first flute. Another flute found about 28,000 years ago was found near Germany and was more advanced than the flute found in Slovenia. The Slovenia flute had five holes while the flute in Germany had only two to four holes. These two instruments have confirmed flute to be one of the oldest instruments in history.

Seven Musical Elements Rhythm- Steady pulse, four beats per measure, it has a medium tempo but accelerates (accelerando) during some parts and gets slower (ritardando) at times. Tone- Taylor swift is a mezzo soprano and instruments played in Bad Blood are the drums, keyboard, and a bass guitar Melody/ Pitch- The pitch ranges from high to low depending on the part of the song. Dynamics-The song starts off in piano and crescendos throughout the song and then decrescendos.
