Hamilton and Jefferson had many different ideas, which had led to the separation of the political parties. These differences included, the National Bank and whether speculators are just or unjust, just to name a couple. These two men had two very different views of the constitution. Hamilton interpreted the constitution very loosely, while Jefferson was much more fearful of a strong central government, which he believed would become a tool for tyranny. Anything that put more economic or other power in the hands of the federal government was a danger. For that reason, Jefferson supported the ideal that unless the Constitution explicitly approved of a power, the government could not do it.. This disagreement had led to some of the arguments, like the National Bank. ?
