Did your summer end up like it was supposed to? Mine usually don't.
So instead, I make school year's resolutions every year. Kind of like New Year's because they usually, like summer resolutions, never get accomplished. Maybe it's because I overpromise and underdeliver.

I think I will make an Underpromised list.
1. Try to stay on a single teacher's good side.
2. Limit myself to one hour of dozing off in every class.
3. Get at least 2 hours of sleep the night before.
4. Do some homework.
5. Pass a test.

If you're looking to get scholarships. I have the solution. Well, not quite. But I'm sure I can help you out with some tips that I learned this summer.

1. Scholarships are hard to get (obviously). (So do things you know you can do.)
Oftentimes, very very hard. Kind of like flossing your molars.
There really is no such thing as an easy scholarship. And the ones where you just sign up and hope for the best really don't make the cut.

So, some of you may have seen my earlier post appropriately titled "Metaphors you shall never use. Ever." with the first half of this ridiculous list. And here is the second half. Sadly, I can't take credit for writing these marvelous metaphorical monsters (hey, that was an alliteration! My English teach would be proud). But while they may not help you in the least bit with school work, they're quite funny. Which should count for something...

12. Her hair glistened in the rain like a nose hair after a sneeze.

Need Notes?

While we strive to provide the most comprehensive notes for as many high school textbooks as possible, there are certainly going to be some that we miss. Drop us a note and let us know which textbooks you need. Be sure to include which edition of the textbook you are using! If we see enough demand, we'll do whatever we can to get those notes up on the site for you!
