AP test date

Why is it that you take the AP test 2 months before the end of the school year, if the test is supposed to evaluate what you learned over the school year? why can't we wait another month and a half so we don't have to go so fast? It seems that that would be so much easier for all the students taking the test. Also, that way we wouldn't have to spend the last part of the semester studying "Rock History," which is what our teacher thinks will be a real treat for us. I think it would be more beneficial for me to have more time to prepare for the AP test

It's because God hates you

Everyone has to take the test at the same time. It wouldn't be fair if I took the test early in May and you took it in the end of June, because we all know answers go around very quickly. It has to be the same test to have the exact same caliber of questions, or else it's completely unfair to perform the same as someone else and get a higher or lower grade due to (the people taking or just in general) THAT test.

We all get out of school at different times. Would you want to go back 2 months after you have finished your school year to take a test including things you learned 12 months ago?

In regards to "going so fast," these courses are taught in one semester in college.

but, why thew heck do we have to take it TWO months before school is out??? why not like 3 weeks, to compensate for the difference in school end dates. or why not make it after school is out? I have no problem taking it a saturday in the summer, say mid june if i get more time to prepere for the test. I just don't get stupidity in those who have all the power.

You may not have things to do, but other people may be busy over the summer, with vacations, camp, or summer college programs. It may be two months prior to the end of school for you, but it isn't for everyone.

all schools don't get out at the same time. I'm a senior this year so I get out earlier than the rest of my school. They're just playing it safe by having the tests in May. Another reason is that colleges need to know if we are getting credit. Were lucky if we get our tests back by mid july.

I get out like the 18th of May this year, but we are going back to school earlier too...

The pont being of this post to reenforce what fuzz said. While it may be 2 months away from you, it's a little over a month for me. If I had to go back in and take the test, I would forget almost everything.
