Although New England and the Chesapeake region were both settled largely by the people of English origin, by 1700 the regions evolved into two distinct societies. Why did this difference in development occur?

you have an easy question, lucky
I am a moron in this class, so if I was you I wouldent listen to me, but simply put, the New England colonies were a place of order in all matters: social, economic, and religious life. On the other hand, the Chesapeake region was a place of disarray. Living conditions were horrible and the land was filled with disease. For the most part, the planters were having a hard time getting their farms to boom and religious life was not ordered very well.
