Some good books?

I am currently taking the AP U.S History class in my school, and I was wondering what are some good additional books to pick up that could help me get a 4 or 5 on the test? Currently we have been given the standard "American Pageant" book, and I feel that this isnt going to be enough to help me get through the test.

So...any suggestions?

I have two suggestions for you

1. Don't Know Much About History (US History version) by Kenneth C. Davis this has brief explantations about everything in the textbook and is good to read some of before tests

2. Cracking the AP exam AP US History. This has lots of strategies for taking the AP test as well as practice AP exams and 12-15 page summaries for each of the major units of US History

The Princeton Review book for APUSH helped me a lot especially as the test rolled around.
