While we strive to provide the most comprehensive notes for as many high school textbooks as possible, there are certainly going to be some that we miss. Drop us a note and let us know which textbooks you need. Be sure to include which edition of the textbook you are using! If we see enough demand, we'll do whatever we can to get those notes up on the site for you!
If it were about a book you include some review, if it were an opinion or something like that then you'd want some background so you can launch right into supporting evidence.

that sounds good, thanks
A good introduction has a good attention getter, a good thesis (which includes the topic, your side on it, and how you are going to discuss it in the essay), and a transition to the body of your essay
remember the conclusion basically restates your intro!!

In different words ;)
when restating the thesis in the conclusion, should it still be in one sentence or can i spread it out into two or three?
Your thesis can be as many sentences as you need it to be.
And yet still keep it concise. A really well developed thesis shouldn't be more than one or two sentences, but if you need more to make yourself clear, do so.

NOT-> I like red becuz blah blah other things to remeber... dont be specific just use the main ideas save the specific things for the paragraphs.. you have to learn as i did that history teachers dont care about grammer and bs from english class they want to kno if you can tell them the info
Southlake boy
I beg to differ.
Most history teachers do care about grammar, specially mine.
A good essay should have correct grammar and follow all grammar rules.
