Why did the British change their economic and political policies towards the colonists from 1763 to 1775?

*And if u'de like to help more... *Sound effects!* DUN DUN DUNNNN..

Were the colonists justified in their response to the British policies? What groups were the colonists defending/neglecting in their revolt against the British?

because after the seven year's war, Britain was in deep debt and began to excercise their power to tax the colonies.

Umm i've got a little bit. this is what i have to far.

American colonies seemed to exsist to support their mother country with wealth and resources and Britian was never satisfied with American products. To make things worse, British tried to charge American's with unfair taxes (Ex. Stamp act, taxes on legal documents, newspaper, etc.) Americans also felt that staying connected with Britian would do more harm to the country than help. America has established strong colonies and was ready to take a stand on their own.

I feel like i'm gettinf off track?? or something, anything u think i could add would be nice :0)

I believe that people getting neglected were the African Americans. They went through tons of harsh things, hearing about the British and Colonists fighting, and the had no stand in what was going on!!

but thats not what you should focus on, you need to cover the changes during the war, a well as those. THe economic and political changes that occured after with the end of british salutory neglect were important, but dont neglect the ideological changes which occured throughout the war itselfs. Thats the rest of the DBQ that you dont want to foreget. by useing both areas you set yourself up to cover (lightly not in depth use it as outside info) the fact that these changes set the relationship up for the split which occurs later. Stay in the time period, meaning use stuff from all around the time period, or it wont seem like you have thought it through enough. Also dont overemphasise the change, they werent earth shattering, they were significant because they set the stage for important changes to come
