Hard time for me

I need some advice from people. I have been dating this guy for a year and a half and about a month ago he broke up with me. He didn't tell me why but he still wants to stay friends with me. He lives on the other side of the country though and just started college this year. I don't know what I should do because all I want is to have him back. Everyone is telling me if I want any chance of getting him back I should just leave him alone and let him call me but I don't think that is working. I love him more than anything in the world and all I want is him back in my life. Can someone please help me with what I should inorder to get him back. Thanks!!!!!

Alright, let me make sure I got this straight:

You went out with Bob (theoretical name) for a year and a half.
Bob broke up with you a month or so ago
Bob goes to college on the other side of the country
You want Bob back in your life

Now, how do you think you're going to get back with him if:
a) He is in college
b) He lives in another state
c) He broke up with you and said he just wants to be friends?

If you are willing to deal with the long-distance relationship (which you apparently are) I would suggest that you talk to him, as a friend you deserve that right atleast. Tell him that you still want ot be with him, tell him the truth. If he says no you need to respect that and let him know that you wont wait forever. That way if he is just being stubborn then he will really think about it. If he doesnt want to be back with you though, you have to respect that and try to stay friends, that is the easiest way of getting over him, remembering the things that made him a better friend than boyfriend.

No, it is we both live on seperate parts of the country. That is how our relationship was from day 1. We dated for a year and a half and during that he started college. Then all of a sudden he just brought up that he wanted to break up with me with no real reason.

Well, if it worked for a year and a half, I don't see why it couldn't work again, even though I will tell you that long sitance relationships are the hardest relationships to maintaint, specially in college.

Good luck ;)

Arm's right long distance relationship are the hardest to maintain and if he broke up with u saying he just wants to be friends then u have to respect his wishes. as time goes on he might eventually realize his lose and call you.

Well he is not sure right now. He says that right now he thinks that he wants to be friends. He is just unsure about everything but I need to know what is happening. What he is thinking and such. It is just killing me inside!

really, i don;t know how you would know "what he is thinking and such", if he is like 300 miles away from you. If you saw him, you probably could tell from his face expression. But be patient!
