Well you can start by researching about political parties and how they came to be and how they have affected the US and society.
Google it.
Since armando wasnt that much help, i think i can do a little better... John Hamilton had many policies like the national bank and excise tax that angered many rural farmers and politicians alike because they felt that those laws were for the state to decide... Jefferson, because of his opposition to Hamilton, created the Jeffersonian Republicans while Hamilton had the Federalists...
