Look, right now you really need to focus on your future and grow as a person, as does he. The best thing you can do is keep in touch with him and let him see what kind of person you blossom into while you can see what kind of person he is becoming.

If it worked for a year and a half then there is obviously something there thats working. You both probably could have more experience in relationships.. yes dating seems far off now.. but dont rule it out completely. You will just be developing in all aspects of your life so you can be able to contribute fully to a relationship.

Maybe he thought that college might get into the way with all the studying he has to do. Plus with him being in college, it'll be hard for him to be true to you with all kinds of girls around him.

dont ever go chasing after a guy...if he breaks up with u he is the one who is missing out....not the other way around....just tell him how u feel and say it only once...be strong about it and make sure he knows that u can go on without him while being honest about how u feel....if he still wants to be friends then ITS OK!!!....yes it'll hurt...but time heals all wounds...and....there are other fish in the sea...maybe even one that is 1000000000 x's better then some guy crazy enough to break up with u...just remember that HE is the one with the loss not you!!!
